She seemed like a happy little girl. She was born a ray of sunshine. She was so sweet and was always smiling. Everybody loved her. Christie was bright, bubbly and a little mischievous. She was a lot of fun to be around.

She liked to be called Christie. She was born on April 7th,1976 to Jennie Johnson.
In 1984, 8 year old Christie lived with her mother, her sister Alison and live in boyfriend Larry Jackson in Greenacres City, Florida.

It was Saturday, Memorial day weekend. The four took a trip up to central Florida, their last stop was DuBios Park.

The next day, May 27th, Jennie went and got Christie a Wendy's kids' meal and then put on the Beatles' Cartoon "Yellow Submarine." Jennie had been driving all night and she was tired so she laid down for a nap along with the rest of the family.
Around 2:30 p.m., Christie went two blocks away from her home to Greenacres Grocery (now Belk's General Store) to buy some cat food for her newborn kittens named "Booboo" and "Skeeter."  The grocery store was so close, it was visible from Christie's front yard. Christie made the journey to the store barefoot wearing a turquoise sundress and carrying a few plastic bottles she intended to exchange for money. She did make it to the store, but then vanished without a trace.

When Christie's sister, Alison, woke up around 8:30 p.m., she noticed that Marjorie wasn't home. She waited about 30 minutes and then told her mother. Jennie and the rest of the family went to a few of the neighbors and made a few phone calls, but there was no sign of Marjorie. At 10:15 p.m. the police were called.
For two weeks, detectives knocked on doors and interviewed over 50 people.
They learned that Christie might have stayed at the store until 6 p.m. playing video games or went to a nearby park.

Realizing that they were getting nowhere, the detectives called the Palm Beach Sheriff's office and the FBI for assistance.

After Christie's disappearance, two suspects were arrested for molesting her best friend who was 6 years old at the time.
The perpetrators were named were Charles and Willis Rambo. They lived near Christie. Prior to her disappearance, Christie had visited their house several times, and a witness had seen Charles give her money.

Police searched the brothers' house and property after, but found no evidence to implicate them in her case. Both men denied any involvement in her disappearance.

Both brothers pleaded guilty to lewd assault in the abuse of Christie's friend, and were sentenced to ten years' probation. In 1993, Willis was sentenced to four life terms in prison for sexually abusing his two stepdaughters. Charles now lives in Tennessee. He was never registered as a sex offender because before 1994, there was no federal law governing sex offender registration and notification in the United States.

They weren't the only suspects in Christie's disappearance.

Authorities were also looking into Victor George Wonyetye Jr. Wonyetye. He was already a suspect in the disappearance of
Tammy Belanger. His parents lived not far from where Christie lived. He was a golf course worker in 1984. He was reportedly seen outside the grocery store the day she disappeared, and he also attended a party in her neighborhood. A short time after Christie went missing, he moved to New Hampshire.

Wonyetye had a criminal history of sexual offenses against young girls. He had been released from prison in 1983 on charges of molesting his step-daughter.

Wonteye was incarcerated for burglary in Florida in 1992. At the trial, prison inmates testified that he admitted killing Luna and Tammy. He was was released from prison in 2012 and died eight months later. He was never charged in connection with either Tammy or Luna's cases and there was no physical evidence linking him to either of the girls' abductions.

In 2010, authorities named Delbert Mosher was another possible suspect in Christina's disappearance. He lived in the area at the time she disappeared, and was arrested three times for child molestation. He died in a Tennessee prison over twenty years after Christina went missing.

William Ferris was another suspect in the case. He lived near the home of one of Christina's friends at the time of her disappearance. The friend's home was just on the other side of the block from her route to the store, and Christina could have reached the house by cutting through yards. The friend wasn't at home that day, but if Christina's had tried to visit her she would have passed Ferris's house. He moved to Virginia within a year of Christina's disappearance. He was later arrested for child molestation in Virginia and is presently serving a life sentence.

Ferris initially denied knowing her. In a later police interview he admitted he did know her, because his wife sometimes babysat for Christie's friend. Ferris's wife claimed that one day when the two girls were playing together, Ferris said one of them was going to disappear someday. After Christina went missing, he said that they would never find her and that is was off of Alligator Alley. There is no evidence to implicate him in her case, however.

Investigators released two composite sketches of a man who may have sexually attacked Christie in a park bathroom on the day she disappeared. Detectives cautioned, though, that the description comes from a woman whose recollection of being attacked along with Luna has been questioned by another friend, who says the woman is mixing two childhood memories.

Christie's mother moved away after her daughter disappeared, but later moved back into the same house where she lived with Christie in 1984. She still lives there and still hopes for answers in her daughter's case. Foul play is suspected in Christie's disappearance. Her case remains unsolved.

At the time of her disappearance Christie was 8 years old 4'0" tall, 60 pounds with Brown hair and hazel eyes. She had a strawberry birthmark on the right side of her back, near her hip, and a scar on her right arm. She had a slight speech impediment and her teeth were crooked. Christie was also hearing-impaired.

She was a third grader at Lincoln Street School. It was a little after 8 a.m. and Tammy set out on her mile-long route to school. She was wearing her aqua colored jersey with black and white stripes over her purple sweater. On top of that she had a blue-sleeved tan jacket. Tammy's long brown hair was pulled back in twin ponytails. She also had grabbed her red backpack, with her name and address written on it.
Betty Blanchette, a neighbor and family friend, observed Tammy standing by the side of the road as she look both ways before she skipped across Court Street and vanished forever.

Tammy's parents were not notified of her absence from school that morning because there was no policy of that nature in place at the time. So Tammy’s mother waited until 3:30 p.m. for Tammy to return. When her daughter didn't arrived home, Patricia called the school and learned that Tammy had not been in class. Patricia freaked out and immediately called the police.

Soon an extensive multi-day search, which included helicopters and hundreds of volunteers was soon underway. Boats were called in to scour the Exeter River which flowed behind the Belanger's house. Divers searched the depths of a nearby quarry. Searchers looked for freshly dug tracts of earth in surrounding woods. Leaf and compost piles in neighboring yards were turned over and multiple ponds around town were drained. Unfortunately, nothing was found.

The day after Tammy’s abduction the Exeter School System, and many surrounding communities implemented mandatory verification of student absences.

Two days after Tammy’s abduction, the Exeter Police received a call from an New Hampshire parole officer.

He was monitoring a then 41 year old Victor George Wonyetye Jr. Wonyetye worked in Exeter at Brad's Custom Auto Body which was off of Main Street, not far from the route Tammy walked to and from school almost every day. He didn't show up for work on the day of Tammy's disappearance. Police found a photograph of Tammy in his house as well. Wonyetye also had a criminal history of sexual offenses against young girls.

Wonyetye had been released from prison in 1983 on charges of molesting his step-daughter. He is also considered a suspect in the 1984 Florida disappearance of Marjorie Luna. Wonyetye lived near Marjorie's residence at the time she vanished and her case remains unsolved as well.

Four days after Tammy went missing, authorities called off the search stating that Tammy must have been abducted and taken out of the area.

At the time of her disappearance, Tammy was 8 years old, 4'6" tall 70 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She also had a lazy eye. She was last seen wearing a purple sweater, an aqua jersey with thin black and white stripes, a short tan jacket with blue sleeves, tan corduroy pants, tan suede boots and green and blue socks. She was carrying a red backpack with her name and address on it.

"I want my baby to know we miss you, we love you, we need you home." -Paula Hill

She was born on October 1st, 1992 to Paula Hill.

Between 1:30 and 8:30 a.m. on December 29, 2008, 16-year-old Shemika disappeared from Berkeley, Missouri. She had been staying at her aunt's home in the 6000 block of Napier. The night before Shemika and her family were watching movies. She was in and out of the home several times that night. There was someone fighting for her attention outside. When her family woke up in the morning, she was gone along with he purse and coat. Shemika's clothes and other belongings were inside the residence, the front door was unlocked, and there were no indications of foul play. Authorities believe she left of her own accord and never searched for her. They didn't even look in her room or anything either.

Paul and her family searched on their own, handing out flyers with Shemika’s photo. Shemika's friends have been of little help, they or their parents don't want them to get involved.

Shemika's family believes that she left of her own free will as well, but was intending to come back.  They believe that someone did something to Shemika. Her family is worried that she is a victim of sex trafficking or worse.

Shemika's mother once saw her inside a dark sedan with a much older man. She worried her teenage girl was smoking marijuana, and said she once a discovered a fake ID that her daughter was using to sneak into local nightclubs.

Paula also found three notebooks with written messages Shemika had passed to a friend in class, just a few months before she disappeared. In them, she talked about a boyfriend, and that she might be pregnant.
Shemika may still be in the local area. She has been known to frequent East St. Louis, Illinois. Few details are available in her case.

At the time of her disappearance she was 5'5" tall, 135 - 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Her ears were pierced and she was wearing her eyeglasses. She was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, a tan Old Navy jacket and blue jeans.

I think that there should be a new policy for when a child, that has been classified as a run away, has turned 18 sometime after their disappearance, and haven't contacted anyone, that their case should then be investigated as a kidnapping o that some foul play is involved.

I think that most of the time when a child runs away, then turns 18 and never contacts family ever again, that some kind of foul play is involved. Whether the child ran away in the first place or not, i believe that something bad happened to them after they disappeared.
