Help find Faloma and Maleina Luhk

Faloma and Maleina Luhk
They were last seen at the bus stop near their home in the village of As Tao, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, on May 25, 2011.

The sisters lived with their grandparents in the area adjacent to the Santa Lourdes Shrine, only yards from where they would go missing.

Around 6 a.m. and the sisters, age 9 and 10 at the time, were waiting across the street from their school bus stop, waiting for it to arrive to take them to Kagman Elementary School. They were sitting in a pavilion in As Teo. They have not been seen since that time. They failed to board the bus when it arrived at 6:30 a.m.

The grandparent's discovered the girls missing, when they did not return home from school.

Garbage collectors, who were working in As Teo at the time of the disappearance, did not see the girls at their bus stop. However, they disclosed they did spot a pickup truck driving through the area, with a man described as a 30-year-old Pacific Islander with a large birthmark on the right side of his face behind the wheel.

Alan Santos Aguon, a former DPS firefighter is a person of interest in Faloma and Maleina’s cases. He is related to the girls through marriage. After the disappearance, Aguon refused to undergo a lie detector in connection with the disappearance. He subsequently resigned from DPS, and left Saipan to reunite with his wife and children in Washington state. Before he left, he sold his 2003 Toyota Camry, which was then seized by FBI agents for evidence gathering. Alan Santos Aguon was arrested on May 8th, 2012 in Burion, Washington after attacking his wife and one of his children with a chair. As of the last report available, he was being held on three felony counts of assault and domestic violence with a bail set at $500,000 cash.

Updates
Recently there was suspicion that the girls were buried in the back yard of the parents of Joseph A. Crisostomo. Joseph A. Crisostomo, who is serving life imprisonment in May 2014 for the murder, rape, and kidnapping of bartender Emerita Romero. They found no evidence of the girls.

Maleina and Faloma’s grandfather,
Elbert Quitugua, told the press,
“We are pretty sure that somebody out there has information. All we’re asking is that we are given closure in our search for the children. We all wish that the people who know something about their disappearance will find it in their hearts to help bring closure, and help us solve the case.”

The family’s church, The Diocese of Chalan Kanoa continues to hold masses of remembrance and has invited everybody to continue praying for the two girls and stated, “resolution, enlightenment, and ultimately peace will be achieved through coming together in prayers.”
