Joseph Linares' Family Is Asking For Your Help, They Feel Like Authorities Have Given Up.
Joseph Anthony Linares
Joe was a good guy. He was a hard worker, a loving and caring person, and a "One of a Kind" son, brother, friend, cousin and grandson. Joe loved to snowmobile, ride motorcycles, and hang out with his family and friends.
He was born to Debbie and Jose. Joe was a member of the graduating class of 2006 at Roy C. Start High School. He was co-owner along with his dad of Seal Coat Specialists.
Joe was 21 years old when he was shot about 8:10 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2010, while responding to a knock on his door at Lake of the Woods Apartments at 6627 W. Bancroft in Toledo, Ohio. Deputies say they arrived to find Joe lying on a bedroom floor suffering from gunshots to the chest. First responders rushed him to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, where he later died at around 9 p.m. Neighbors reported that they heard two loud pops followed by two suspicious men running off after the shooting. The two men had been seen earlier in the building that day.
Both are described as around 6'3" tall, slender, and around 20 years old.
Joe's roommate was walking up to the apartment as Joe was being shot. He is the one that found him. It has been alleged that the roommate had marijuana and thousands of dollars in his armoire.
Joe's case has been cold for ten years. There is not much information about his case and his family feel like the authorities just gave up.
