At the man's apartment, he gave Smith a drink laced with seven sleeping pills and strangled him with his bare hands.
The following day, the man purchased a Polaroid camera and took several pictures of Smith's body in suggestive positions before dismembering him in the bathroom.
He boiled the legs, arms, and pelvis in a steel kettle with Soilex, which allowed him to then rinse the bones in his sink.
He then dissolved the remainder of Smith's skeleton. excluding the skull, in a container he filled with acid.

The man offered $50 to Miller to join him back at the apartment where, he attempted oral sex on Miller.
To which Miller responded, jokingly,
"That will cost you extra."
The man drugged Miller with two sleeping pills but, unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to knock Miller out.
The man had to change his method of killing and rather than a peaceful death, Miller had his throat slit and bled to death within minutes.
With his Polaroid camera, the man then took pictures of the corpse posed in many suggestive positions.

While doing all of this, the man spoke to the dead Miller, often kissing him.
To dispose of the body the man did as he usually did with the exception of the organs, choosing instead to keep them for later consumption.

He also decided to attempt to preserve Millers full skeleton.
