Denis Morin from Quebec was 54 years old in 2016, when he swam the Yukon River using a river board.
He swam a total of 1,988 miles in 75 days.
He spent about 6 hours a day in the water.
The longest he spent in the water was 11 hours.
Dennis stopped a total of 10 days to rest.
He sold everything he owned, and all he brought with him on the trip were two inflatable bags that floated behind him in the river.
He said he would sometimes stop in villages adjacent to the river to pick up cookies.
“I’m kind of a cookie monster,”
he said.
“And I couldn’t bring cookies for three months.”
