Places That You Thought Weren't Real, That Really Do Exist.

The Ewok Village
The tree top community is called Finca Bellavista and it is located in Costa Rica and spans three hundred acres of rainforest.
It is connected by wooden bridges and ziplines.


The Finstone's House
It is a 3.5 million bungalow, located in Malibu, California.
It use to be owned by Dick Clark.
It has a stone inspired look.


Tatooine
The city Tatooine, is located in southern Tunisia and was used in the Star Wars movies.
The Hotel Sidi Driss, was used as Luke Skywalker's home.


Middle Earth
Isenguard was based of the University of Birmingham, in England.
The shire was inspired Sarehole.
Black Country inspired Modor.
The air and ground were black, due to the pollution from the iron foundries, steel mills and coal mines.


Silent Hill
The real life ghost town is in Centralia Pennsylvania.
It was once home to 1,000 residents, was deserted after the strip mine underneath it caught on fire.
The fire burns to this day, 55 years later.


Canyon City
It was the stone city where they discovered the Holy Grail in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
It is the city of Petra, located in Jordan.
It features a theater, a bank and a water system.


Emerald Bamboo Forest
The forest and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
These bamboo forests are located just outside of Kyoto, Japan.


Arkham Asylum
This prison for Gotham's villains was inspired by Danvers State Hospital in Massachusetts, which was built in 1874.


UP
The Angel Falls in Venezuela, inspired the water fall from the movie UP.
Carl's house was based on a real house in Oakland, California.


Rosslyn Chapel
It is the church from the Da Vinci Code.
It is also discussed in the story about the Holy Grail.
The chapel is located in Rossyln, Scotland.
