The Disappearance of Susan Walsh the Vampire hunter. Updated 10/12/2019

🧛Susan Walsh🧛
She was born Susan Young on February 18th, 1960. Susan was a great mother. She loved her son and would do anything for him.

Susan was also a journalist and exotic dancer, who disappeared outside her home on Washington street in Nutley, New Jersey on July 16th, 1996.

Ever since Susan was a little girl she wanted to be a poet. She had a rough childhood.

Susan had worked through strip clubs and massage parlors to put herself through college. While in college, she struggled with substance abuse. Some of her family thinks she was struggling again.

After she graduated college with a bachelor's degree, she became a freelance journalist. She lived in a apartment with her son, David.
Her estranged husband, Mark Walsh, a brother of musician Joe Walsh, lived downstairs. Susan's boyfriend, Christian Pepo, lived with Susan and would sometimes babysit David while she went to work.

Susan left to go run some errands and use the payphone across the street never to be seen again. Susan told Mark, she would return in half an hour, and left all of her personal belongings in her residence, including her pager and wallet.

Mark was ruled out as a suspect.

July 1996 had been torn out of the calendar in her apartment.

At the time of her disappearance, Susan was investigating the Russian Mafia and an underground vampire ring in New York.
She had written an in-depth report on a strip club ring in which members of the Russian mafia were allegedly forcing young girls into the sex industry. She also explored an underground vampire community in New York City, but her article was never published.

Susan was also participating in a friend's documentary about strippers. She said on camera that she had a stalker. She was working with a German documentary crew making a film about Russian immigrants becoming go-go dancers. She was also in the middle of developing a documentary on the subject with the BBC shortly before her disappearance.

Her last work was her contributions to the book Red Light: Inside the Sex Industry by Ridgeway and Sylvia Plachy.
She served as the primary researcher for the book and  contributed photographs and personal writings within a month before her disappearance.

Susan's dad says she told him two contracts were issued for her murder after the sex ring story appeared in the Village Voice.

He said his daughter feared for her life and took up drinking again after 11 years of sobriety.

"The last time I met her she was worried about someone having her killed," her dad said. "She was coming apart at the seams."

What do you think happened to Susan Walsh?

Police say they are still investigating. Anyone with information can contact the Nutley Police Department at (973) 284-4940.

At the time of her disappearance Susan was 5 ft 6 in tall
and weighed 110 lb.
