Juan Martinez missing after he went on an acid trip.

Juan Pedro Martinez

He was 10 years old and an only child.
He went missing June 25, 1986.
The truck he was in with his parents crashed.
The truck contain Sulfuric Acid.
Only the parents bodies were found.

He had made his father promise to take him with him if he got good grades in school.
His mom went with them so she would watch over the kid while he unloaded the truck in its destination.

Before the crash his dad was speeding at 140 km (86 mi) per hour. His driving became reckless in the mountains; without slowing down once, he broke off another driver’s car mirror and then bumped into another car from behind.
After the car he rear-ended got out of his way.
The man who the dad rear-ended told police that he pulled off the road and was assisted by a foreign man and blonde-haired woman in a white van.
The woman was allegedly a nurse and looked over the man’s injuries.
The crash caused his truck to overturn, spilling the sulfuric acid out onto the side of the road and covering the area with a toxic mushroom cloud.
Two shepherds in the area, neither of whom the police were able to trace, were said to have seen a white van pull up to the truck after his collision with the other car.
A man and blonde-haired woman went into the truck and took something out of it, possibly a package or Juan Pedro.
They crashed head-on with a truck that had come down from the opposite direction.

Examination of the cabin found child-oriented cassettes and boy clothes in the back area, but no trace of the kid.

The tachometer revealed that something weird happened on the ascension of the mountain pas.

the truck made 12 extremely brief stops, the shortest lasting less than one second and the longest, the last one near the highest point, about twenty.

There supposedly was traces of cocaine found in the truck.

In May 1987, a man in Madrid met a blind old woman and a boy who looked like Juan Pedro.
The woman was an Iranian refugee looking for the American embassy.
She said that she and her family had been in Spain for only 6 months.
The boy she was with spoke fluent Spanish.
When the man complimented the boy’s strong Spanish, the old woman got nervous and wouldn’t explain how he knew the language so well.
Although the man didn’t recognize the boy at the time, he was later certain that it was Juan Pedro.

Some theories suggest that Juan's parents were drug smugglers and Juan was taken as incentive.
Some think the couple took him to help him.
Some people think Juan was kidnapped at one of the truck's stops, and that is why his father was driving so fast.
Some think that the breaks were bad on the truck.
Investigators say that the breaks were fine.
Another theory is that Juan's body dissolved in acid.
This theory was debunked.
He would have to have been totally submerged in the acid for a long while to dissolved completely.

What do you think happened?
