Will Her Murderer Ever Get What He Deserves?

Chanel Petro-Nixon
She was a 16 year old honor student when she was found strangled to death in Brooklyn, New York in 2006.
She wanted to be a psychiatric nurse.
Chanel was good at listening to others' problems.
She left her Brooklyn apartment on father's day 2006 to meet a friend she knew from church.
She never returned home.
Cops initially listed Chanel as a runaway.
Four days later, her body was found folded up in a garbage bag, stuffed in a trash can.
The autopsy report stated that she had been hit in the face and head and strangled to death.
Veron Primus, the friend that she went to go meet, was now the number one person of interest, because he was the last person to seen her alive.
They couldn't find any evidence to link him to her murder.
A few years later, he was charged, but ultimately acquitted for the sexual assault of two women.
He had a restraining order against him for trying to hold a third woman against her will.
He violated that order and went to prison.
On May 2015, he was released and deported to St. Vincent Island.
There he met Mewanah and she became his girlfriend.
The relationship turned violent and he held her captive in a make shift dungeon for three and a half months.
She tried to escape through a window, but Primus caught her.
Primus took a video of him digging a grave by that window and showed the video to Mewanah.
One day Primus was cooking, he had Mewanah in the room with him.
He went outside to wash a pot.
Mewanah took this opportunity to put a note by a bottle of his great aunt's insulin.
His great aunt lived upstairs.
The caretaker for the aunt found the note and called police.
Primus made Mewanah give a fake name to police.
As the police were about to leave, the care taker said that the girl is really Mewanah and she was being held captive.
Mewanah was now free.
Primus was arrested on kidnapping charges.
As the police searched his place they found evidence to the stabbing murder of St. Vincent real estate agent, Sharleen Greaves.
Primus is now charged with Charlene's murder.
NYPD detectives flew down to the island to speak with Primus, who voluntarily spoke with them before asking for a lawyer.
Then the detectives spoke with Mewanah.
She told detectives that Primus told her that he didn't kill Chanel, but he knew who did.
In June 2016, Veron Primus had been formally charged with Chanel Petro-Nixon's murder.
As of 2017, Primus is being held in St. Vincent, awaiting trial for the unrelated murder of Sharleen Greaves.

JUSTICE FOR CANDICE!!!!

Candice Hiltz
She was born December 2, 1988 in Canyon City, Colorado.
She was the youngest child and had several older brothers.
Candice was a tomboy who believed in justice and was very protective of her brothers.
Her father died when she was 5 years old.
She could do calculus at age 11.
At 15, she unrolled at BYU.
When she died at 17, she was already in her 3rd year of college.
She wanted one day to be a supreme court justice.
Shortly before her death she was accepted to Stanford Law School.
She got pregnant before she died and gave birth to a baby girl named Paige.
Paige was born with an illness called Hydrocephalus, or water of the brain.
She wasn't predicted to live very long.
From the moment Candice got pregnant, Paige became her whole world.
Candice continued with her education online during her pregnancy and after.

One of Candice's older brothers was named James.
He had severe phobias, he couldn't live around people, so he lived in a wooded area behind the house.
They would leave food out in front of the house for him, to make sure he had enough food and that he was ok.
On August 10, 2006, sheriff Robert Dodds comes to the home to question James about a trespassing incident.
Instead he questions the mother, Delores, and asks her where James was.
She had no idea.
Candice was there and became very angry.
Dodds threaten to arrest Candice and she reached out her arms and told him to go ahead.
She also tells him that if he arrests her, that she will tell all the people at the police station how she has seen him trade envelopes with known drug dealers.
He ended up not arresting her and left.
On August 13, the family dog goes missing.
Later the dog is eventually found, tied to a tree, in a remote place.
It had been brutally murdered.
On August 15, Delores left the house to go run some errands, leaving Candice home alone with 11 month old Paige.
Delores said she came home about three hours later, which was about 4 p.m.
She found Paige screaming in the house and pools of blood leading up to Candice's bedroom.
There is no signs of Candice.
In Candice's bedroom, Delores finds a green blanket in a bundle under the bed.
When she unwraps the bundle, Delores finds her daughter's body inside.
Candice's face had been destroyed, the injuries were so severe she was almost decapitated.
The police were called and showed up an hour later.
Candice's family were ordered out of their home.
The crime scene was not sealed off.
The lead investigator was Robert Dodds.
The police almost immediately focused their attention on Candice's brother, James.
They had no evidence pointing to James.
It took police three days to find him.
The door of the house had been pried open by a crowbar.
James had no reason to pry open the door with a crowbar, he had his own way of getting in the house.
The police said that it was obvious that the murder was committed by more than one person.
James had no friends and didn't and couldn't hang around people.
The family protested that James never could have done this.
He didn't have any access to guns and no violent history.
He was found and questioned, but never charged with anything related to Candice's death.
He was charged for trespassing and found not guilty by reason of insanity.
He was admitted to the Colorado Mental Health Institute, where he currently resides.

The autopsy report stated that Candice had suffered one gun shot to the face, five to the back of the head and one to the left side of her chest.
The head shot seemed to have come from a distance and the chest shot from point blank range within her home.
The gun shot wounds came from at least three different guns.
This is where things get weird.
There is another timeline of events.
The autopsy reads that it was Candice's friend that discovered her body, that he came around to check on her.
He finds Paige screaming inside and brings her back out and to the car for his wife to hold.
He then goes back into the house and finds Candice's body.

When the Hiltz's were allowed back in their home, the police had left a lot of evidence behind.
There was a speaker with Candice's blood, the green blanket that she was wrapped in, and a shot gun casing found in baby Paige's crib.
Delores and one of her sons, John, put on rubber gloves and bagged up evidence and went down to the police station to notify them.
The police eventually sent someone to the house to collect it.

Seven years later Paige passes away.

In December  2016, a local storage shed went up for auction and was bought by a man named Rick.
There was police lights inside along with some envelopes marked "Evidence" , filled with documents and items.
Among some of the items were hatchets, shell casings, and rope, all with blood on them.
There was also some police uniforms found.
On the uniforms was the name "Robert Dodds".
Rick called the police and a sheriff named Beaker came off as threatening.
He came to the storage shed and bagged up the evidence.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigations came and took over.
In January, 2017, they came and took the evidence.
Robert Dodd's family contacted Rick through Facebook, offering him money for his unit back.
Besides those items pertaining to Candice's case in the storage shed, items from other cases were found thrown out by Dodds.
Doddswas on leave pending investigation.
Two months later, he retires and moves to Texas.
A month later, in May 2017, the district attorney files charges against him, two counts of official misconduct, and abuse of public records.
Between December 25th and 30th of 2016, Dodds knowingly altered a public record.
The case went to court and he was offered a plea deal, which he took.
Candice's case remains unsolved.

Denis Morin from Quebec was 54 years old in 2016, when he swam the Yukon River using a river board.
He swam a total of 1,988 miles in 75 days.
He spent about 6 hours a day in the water.
The longest he spent in the water was 11 hours.
Dennis stopped a total of 10 days to rest.
He sold everything he owned, and all he brought with him on the trip were two inflatable bags that floated behind him in the river.
He said he would sometimes stop in villages adjacent to the river to pick up cookies.
“I’m kind of a cookie monster,”
he said.
“And I couldn’t bring cookies for three months.”

Baby Bitten By Rattlesnake And Lives.

In the morning, on Wednesday, September 12, at a daycare operated by Naval Base San Diego, California in Chollas Heights, a 15-month-old baby boy was bitten by a baby rattlesnake.
His hand swelled up to four times its normal size.
He was rushed to a children's hospital nearby where he was given antivenin.
The snake bite could have killed the boy because of his age and size.
After taking a few days to recover, the swelling from the bite and the fever have both gone down and he was back to his playful self.

There are more than 24 rattlesnake species.
The rattle noise comes from the sound created when hollow and bony doughnut like segments in the rattle bang together.
Young rattlesnakes have not yet developed this warning mechanism.
They are still just as venomous as a full-grown rattlesnake, and have fangs that can penetrate the skin to inject their venom.
They also tend to be more aggressive, making them more likely to bite.
A rattlesnake can strike at 5.9 feet per second.
It is one of the fastest movements by any animal with a back bone.
The rattlesnake’s triangular head contains a hollow spot between the eyes and nostrils.
This is called a pit and is a sensory organ that helps the rattlesnake hunt in darkness by detecting body heat.
Their eyes see well even in low light.
They detect movement by sensing the vibrations in the ground.

Nidal Hasan DIdn't Want To Be Deployed, So He Did A Terrible Thing.

2009 Fort Hood Shooting
Nidal Hasan entered the Guns Galore store in Killeen, Texas on July 31, 2009 and purchased a FN Five-seven semi-automatic pistol.
Hasan entered the store and asked for
"the most technologically advanced weapon on the market and the one with the highest standard magazine capacity".
He was allegedly asked how he intended to use the weapon.
He repeated that he wanted the most advanced handgun with the largest magazine capacity.
He revisited the store once a week to buy extra magazines, along with over 3,000 rounds.
Hasan visited an outdoor shooting range in Florence.
He allegedly became adept at hitting silhouette targets at distances of up to 100 yards.
At 1:34 p.m. on November 5, 2009, Hasan entered the Soldier Readiness Processing Center, where had receive routine medical treatment immediately prior to and on return from deployment.
He was armed with the FN Five-seven pistol, which he had fitted with two Lasermax laser sights.
A Wesson .357 Magnum revolver was later found on Hasan.
He did not use it to shoot any of the victims.
He entered the building and went to the first desk to the right of the North doors and asked to see Major Parrish, who worked in the building and had been assisting Hasan in his deployment preparations.
As the worker went down the hall to get Parrish, Hasan had gone around behind the desk, bowing his head for several seconds.
He then he suddenly stood up, shouted "Allahu Akbar!" and opened fire, initially spraying bullets at soldiers in a fanlike motion before aiming at soldiers individually.
SGT Michael Davis said:
"The rate of fire was pretty much constant shooting. When I initially heard it, it sounded like an M16."
Army Reserve Captain John Gaffaney tried to stop Hasan by charging him.
Gagganey was mortally wounded before reaching him and
civilian physician assistant Michael Cahill tried to charge Hasan with a chair, but was shot and killed as well.
Army Reserve Specialist Logan Burnett tried to stop Hasan.
He threw a folding table at him, but he was shot in the left hip, fell down, and crawled to a nearby cubicle.
Hasan targeted soldiers in uniform.
In accordance with military policy, they were not carrying personal firearms.
While Hasan was roaming the building and shooting, an Army Specialist broke a window in the back of the building where MAJ Parrish worked.
Two soldiers and Parrish exited the building through the broken window on the east side of the building.
They escaped to the parking lot.
The soldier severely cut his hand breaking the glass.
Base civilian police Sergeant Kimberly Munley, rushed to the scene in her patrol car.
She encountered Hasan in the area outside the Soldier Readiness Processing Center.
Hasan fired at her.
She exchanged shots with him using her 9mm M9 pistol.
Hasan's bullets struck a nearby rain gutter, and then two bullets struck Munley, hitting her in the thigh and knee.
She began to fall from the first bullet, the second bullet struck her femur.
Her femur shattered, which knocked her to the ground.
Hasan walked up to Munley and kicked her pistol out of reach.
Nurses and medics began entering the building.
An unidentified soldier secured the south double doors with his ACU belt and rushed to help the wounded.
There was so much blood covering the floor inside the building, that they were unable to maintain balance, and had difficulty reaching the wounded.
In the area outside the building, Hasan was shooting at fleeing soldiers.
Herman Toro, Director of the Soldier Readiness Processing Site, arrived at this time.
After Hasan had gone around the building and was out of sight, Toro and another site worker rushed to assist Lieutenant Colonel Juanita Warman.
She was down on the ground north of the medical building.
They both took her by the arms and tried to carry her to safety. Hasan returned and aimed his red laser across Toro's chest, but did not fire.
Toro took cover behind an electrical box.
Civilian police Sergeant Mark Todd arrive and shout commands at Hasan to surrender.
He turned and fired a couple of rounds at him.
The two exchanged shots, and then Hasan's pistol was empty.
He stopped, turned and reached into his pocket for a new magazine. Todd shot him 5 times and as he  ran over to him, kicked the pistol out of his hand, and put handcuffs on him as he fell unconscious.
LTC Tom Eberhart, Deputy Director of Human Resources, Fort Hood, arrived and entered the Medical Building to help, stepping over bodies to enter the building's north entrance.
He assisted another soldier in performing CPR on one of the wounded soldiers at the building's waiting area, where folding chairs were scattered all around.
He noticed a soldier outside the south doors of the building and went to help, removing the belt from the door.
He went outside as others were arriving.
The downed soldier was Staff Sergeant Alonzo Lunsford, a medical assistant from the building.
He had two wounds in the abdomen and a wound to the scalp and was unconscious.
LTC Eberhart went back into the building to retrieve a folding table.
Other soldiers assisted getting SSG Lunsford onto the table and around the building to the triage area.

A total of 214 rounds fired by the attacker and responding police officers.
Hasan's pockets were full of pistol magazines.
When the shooting ended, he was still carrying 177 rounds of unfired ammunition in his pockets.
The incident lasted about 10 minutes, and resulted in 13 killed.
One of those was a civilian.
11 died at the scene, and two died later in a hospital.
30 people were wounded.
Hasan was taken to Scott and White Memorial Hospital, and later moved to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. There he was held under heavy guard.
He was hit by at least four shots, resulting in him being a  paraplegic.
He was later held at the Bell County jail in Belton, Texas.
On August 23, 2013, he was convicted on all charges.
Five days later, a U.S. military court sentenced him to death for the shootings.
He was incarcerated at the United States Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas to await execution.
At the time he became the sixth person on military death row.
Prior to the shooting, on November 28, Hasan told a local store owner that he was stressed about his imminent deployment to Afghanistan since he might have to fight or kill fellow Muslims.

Her Mother Was Murdered And She Was Kidnapped And Never Found.

Dennise Sullivan
She was 15 years old when she went missing from Moab, Utah on July 4th, 1961.
She was on vacation with her mother and her mother's finance from Rockville, Connecticut.
There was a man on the side of the road having car trouble near Dead Horse Point.
After the man flagged them down they pulled over to help.
After they stopped, he pulled out a .22-caliber rifle and demanded money.
Jeannette Sullivan threw $250 on the road, made some comment about the man and turned to get into her car when she was fatally shot in the back of the head.
The man shot her finance, Charles Boothroyd, in the face twice.
He left for dead, but he survived to tell officers about the crime.
Denise, had stayed in the car.
She started the vehicle and tried to drive away.
The gunman chased her down in his car, forced the car off the road and kidnapped her.
Her body was never found.
About 10:30 p.m. on July 7, 1961, lawmen stopped Able B. Aragon car at a roadblock at Crescent Junction.
He was a 35 year old, unemployed WWII Marine Corps veteran from Price who had earned the Navy Cross.
He was known as a nice guy and a family man.
He was missing, and his license plate matched the partial number that was reported.
When an FBI agent tried to question him, he shot himself in the head with a pistol.
Denise Sullivan and the .22-caliber rifle were not in the car.
He was transported to the Moab hospital, but died two hours later.
Attention now was on a remote area called Polar Mesa.
It is a uranium mining camp near the Colorado border.
A cook at Polar Mesa told officers she had talked to Able, who had been camping there.
At the camp, officers found clothes belonging to able hidden under a bush, along with the .22 rifle and a short-handled shovel.

There was no sign of the missing teenager.
There were a lot of ore mines down there, some of which were searched, but there was no sign of Dennise.
